Well Guys, I’m pretty excited because this really authentic, cool and stylish Miami mama is giving me mad props (I know people don’t say that anymore, I’m bringing it back). Annhy is like many of my “sisters” who are proud of me, and show me off – usually it involves some weird dorky dance move. But Annhy who hardly knows me, has taken how embarrassingly describe Haute Drop-Off – usually in a low voice, to not get heels hurled in my direction, and vocalized it loudly. And I love her for that. We should all, including me, stop being so afraid of exaggerating our skills….Gosh Darn it, I am the Bill Cunningham for Parent Style, and soon enough, The New York Times will add me to their fashion section and my mother will be able to properly show me off.
So Annhy started a great blog, I mostly love it because she’s so honest and funny, and she’s a looker – which always helps. So enjoy this piece about your very own Mara, and read about why I feel guilty at Guilt Free Mom Moments, http://fomib.com/2015/01/23/hooray-haute-drop-off/
Lisa. Coral Gables, Florida. December 2014.
Lisa always looks put together and does it in a natural way. This was a weekend morning and she’s sporting a long floral skirt that’s high waisted with a tight tank to show her naturally thin body. Her accessories are minimal, and I really like the addition of a few gold bangles. Miami is hot, and it’s hard to not wear cut off shorts every day – you kind of really have to think about your wardrobe from a “it’s hot as hell” perspective.
Lisa is currently raising these adorable little girls, while continuing her involvement in several Miami charities. She and her family live on Miami Beach.

“In high-school, my friend’s mother would pull up in a shiny Porsche convertible. Her seemingly effortless exit from the car brought teenage boys and me to a halt. Dressed in curve-hugging Dolce & Gabbana, this mother was, by anyone’s standard, a total knockout. She was sexy, stylish and didn’t look “mom-like.”
Wendy. Mom. Therapist. Aspen, Colorado. August 2014.
Wendy lives in Miami Beach and is on vacation with her family in the amazing town of Aspen. They were watching a famous Aspen summer event, The Ducky Derby, where millions of rubber ducks are emptied in a river, purchased by visitors and residents of Aspen – to raise money for local charities. The ducks are recycled each year, and it’s so fun to observe the wholesome excitement of the town.
I know Wendy personally, and have always been a fan of her style. Miami has a specific style, and when I lived there, it was refreshing to see Wendy’s own “designer boho” look. She combines a bit of natural sexiness with funky accessories, which creates this young, urban look. Wendy is wearing a lot of luxury designer pieces, but she is an expert at combining pieces – creating her own unique style.

Fashion Notes: Espadrilles: Valentino, Jeans: Blank, T-shirt: James Perse, Sunglasses: Chrome Hearts
Alison is a fixture in the Miami Beach social scene – always at the coolest parties, and dazzles in designer perfection. I remember spotting Alison in Aspen, she looked like quite the fashion plate in her outdoor gear – so hard to pull off!!
Thanks to the beautiful Jaleh Samway Bast for snapping this stylish mom at school drop-off.
Estee. Miami Beach, Florida. March 2014.
Fashion Notes: Proenza Schouler T-shirt, Skirt APC, Sneakers Celine and Handbag Givenchy
This simple look on a beautiful, warm and sunny day on Miami Beach is perfect. Estee went to University in Paris, and is influenced by French style – and grew up speaking French with her father. The denim skirt is short, but Estee balances it all nicely with simple sneakers and a long sleeve t-shirt.
Her loose ponytail, oversized glasses and Givenchy bag add to her overall simple, chic and stylish look.
